</p><p>Der Graph ist nach <a href="S._Ramanujan" class="mw-redirect" title="S. Ramanujan">S. Ramanujan</a> benannt, wobei der Name von <a href="Alexander_Lubotzky" title="Alexander Lubotzky">Alexander Lubotzky</a>, <a href="Ralph_Phillips" title="Ralph Phillips">Ralph Phillips</a> und <a href="Peter_Sarnak" title="Peter Sarnak">Peter Sarnak</a> stammt, die 1988 Ramanujan-Graphen einführten (sie benutzten ein Resultat von Ramanujan).
